This policy explains how MSMU LLC ("MSMU", "we", "us") collects and uses your personal data when you visit msmu.shop, create an account or place an order. MSMU LLC is the controller of your personal data.

What we collect

  • Contact and account details: your name, email address, phone number and password (stored securely, never in plain text).
  • Order details: delivery and billing addresses, the items you order, your event date, gift messages and notes.
  • Measurements: body measurements and fitting preferences for custom-made outfits. We treat these as personal data and use them only to make your clothes.
  • Payment details: payments are handled by Stripe and PayPal. We never see or store your full card number. If you choose to save a card, it is stored securely by Stripe.
  • Messages: what you send us through our contact form, email or WhatsApp, and reviews or photos you share.
  • Technical data: your IP address (used to show prices in your local currency), browser and device information, and cookies (see our cookie policy).

Why we use it and our legal basis

  • To make and deliver your order and keep you updated about it – to perform our contract with you.
  • To prevent fraud, keep the shop secure, answer your questions and improve our service – our legitimate interests.
  • To send newsletters and offers – only with your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time from any email.
  • To use analytics and marketing cookies – only with your consent in the cookie banner.
  • To keep tax and accounting records – to meet our legal obligations.

Who we share it with

We share only what each partner needs, and we never sell your personal data:

  • Payment providers: Stripe and PayPal.
  • Couriers, such as DHL Express and our local couriers in Pakistan: your name, address and phone number for delivery.
  • Service providers who host our website and send our emails.
  • Our studio team in Lahore, who make and check your outfit.
  • Analytics and advertising partners (Google, Meta, TikTok), only if you accept those cookies.
  • Authorities, where the law requires it.

International transfers

We operate from the United States and our studio is in Pakistan, so your data may be processed outside the country where you live, including the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union and Pakistan. Where the law requires it, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

  • Account details and saved measurements: until you delete them or your account.
  • Orders and invoices: for as long as tax and accounting laws require (usually up to 7 years).
  • Newsletter details: until you unsubscribe.
  • Messages: up to 2 years after our last conversation.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time. You can download your data and delete your account from your account page, or contact us and we'll reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to your local data protection authority – in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Security

We use encrypted connections, store passwords and payment keys securely and limit access to the people who need it.

Children

Our shop is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
